Our ceramic urns begin with a form we refined until it was right, then cast, fired and glazed in our own family studio. What makes each one yours is set into its side: a portrait of your companion, carved by hand from solid hardwood from two or three of your photographs, and fitted to the vessel. If a portrait isn't what you want, we carve a motif instead: a mountain range, a paw print, a place that mattered. The shape is ours. The likeness is theirs alone.
Fired clay is the oldest memorial material there is, and ours is made to honor that. Each vessel is cast thick-walled in vitrified porcelain, so the body is dense as glass: it will not stain, fade, warp or weather, and the color is a glaze fired into the surface rather than a finish laid over it. A fitted lid with a soft gasket seals with a gentle press.
